By now, you know where I stand on the concept of perfection!
The last 2 weeks have been dedicated to the identification of 10 problems resulting from the pursuit of perfection. We considered the likes of anxiety, self-centeredness and depression and the negative impact they carry in our lives.
Once again, the goal of life is most definitely NOT perfection, but it is purpose.
You will never be able to find your purpose until you surrender your pursuit of perfection. As a follow through on my last blog series, I wanted to spend the next 2 weeks discussing 10 key strategies for surrendering perfection in your life.
Surrender is not the end. Surrender is more realistically the beginning of your adventure.
Life is full of surprises and it is important to possess the ability to adjust. The only person in your life that even believes that perfect is possible is YOU.
You are your own worst enemy. You are the stumbling block and that which stands in the way of your greatest potential.
Potential is the difference between where you are now and where you want to be. The first step on your path to purpose is surrender.
So the question that merits an answer more than any other at this precise moment is:
“Do you have the strength to surrender?”
If you do, then what are you waiting for. If you don’t, then consider reading each of the next 10 posts which are designed to be followed in sequential order:
- Relaxation
- Prayer
- Sweat
- Strategic Planning
- Prioritization
- Execution
- Interaction
- Reflection
- “The Done List”
- Decompression
If you can bring yourself to follow these strategies sequentially, I am confident that you will gain the strength to surrender and get on with your purpose pursuit!
