Today’s post is part 5 of a 10 part series: “10 Ways to Conquer Your Comfort Zone”
At the root of transformation is change. I once heard a wise man say that unless you learn how to transform your pain, you will inevitably transfer your pain. I think this makes a lot of sense and how it can apply to our comfort zones. There is a certain element of attraction in our comfort zones. As we have discussed previously in this series, we are drawn in to what is familiar often missing our best potential. If you have ever wandered what your true calling in life is, chances are you are not living it in the moment. Your comfort zone has given you a false sense of security that eventually will leave you feeling unfulfilled. At the heart of my message is that perfection is not the goal of life, BUT…purpose most certainly is. I’m not saying its impossible, but it will be difficult for you to discover your’s as long as you are confined to your comfort zone.
Transformation is the process of change and comes after the realization that your current path in life will not take you where you want to go. Transforming your comfort zone could involve taking a new job, meeting new people or even moving to a new location. The first step is the hardest because it requires that you do something different. If you are consistent in your efforts towards life change I think you will feel that each subsequent effort will be easier than the last. You were created for a purpose and only you can fill that role. The faster you embrace transformation, the better off both you and the world will be. You were created for a contribution and the world will be better off once you discover exactly how to make it.
