Part 8 of a 26 part series.
If you are anything like me, (more often than not) you give yourself too much credit when things are good and are quick to blame when plans go awry. This is the natural state of mankind. Remember, you will never have to teach a child how to cry or say “mine?” From the time we wake in the morning until we lay our heads on the pillow at night, we think of first of “me.”
Have you noticed that life is hard? Plans change, mistakes are made and interruptions conveniently find their way into the day. Such is life, but I’d like to share a secret that helped me tremendously over the years.
This secret is the subject of today’s post. HUMILITY.
Humility is NOT thinking less of yourself. Humility is thinking of yourself less. (Let that sink in for a moment.)
If you can embrace this simple yet profound truth, I am confident that you will be much more likely to “go with the flow” and realize that life is bigger than you.
Get out of your own way, and enjoy the day. Humility is your highway!
