Day #3 of our SMART goals analysis.

ARE YOUR GOALS ATTAINABLE?

Have you begun to think about specific ways to accomplish your goals? Let me assure you that this goes far beyond the physical considerations of reaching your goals. Since we’re talking sport specific goals, you may be inclined to think that the “attainable” means sweat, labored breathing and sore muscles!

Let your mind break through the stereotypical parameters associated with performance. Here’s what I mean…

What about your mindset?

Your level of belief?

Is your attitude helping or harming you?

Yes, we can all agree that you must be in proper physical condition to perform in a manner that you will put you in position to reach your goals. What often gets overlooked is the mind’s capacity to deliver you to your goals.

Are you thinking positive thoughts more often than negative ones?
Do you actually believe that you can and will accomplish your goals?
How’s your attitude? (A great way to determine this is to ask those who are living in close proximity.)

MAKE SURE YOUR GOALS ARE ATTAINABLE AND THAT THEY INVOLVE THE APPROPRIATE EMPHASIS ON BOTH BODY AND MIND!
