Problem #2: Impartiality

Today’s post is part 2 of a 10 part series: 10 Problems with Perfect

Ok, so now you have devoted yourself to taking action NO MATTER HOW IMPERFECT IT MIGHT BE…

Now its time to overcome the second main problem associated with perfection: impartiality. This of all problems is the one I despise the MOST. Why, because an impartial mindset is one without passion. Without passion, is life really worth living?

Think back to the last time you and your friends decided to go out to dinner. What’s the first question that comes up? “Where should we go?” And what is far and away the most typical response? “Umm, I don’t care.” And then: “where do you want to go?” Around and around it goes until an hour passes and no one has had a single bite to eat. This absolutely frustrates the heck out of me!

My point is that not caring about something (even as trivial as picking a dinner spot) is a byproduct of indecisiveness which comes from a fear of inadequacy. You are afraid to express your true opinion even when you have one because you are more concerned about the acceptance of the world. A non-decision in your mind is the easy way out. A non-decision allows you to hide behind the wall of anonymity. WAKE UP…

We do not need any more faces in the crowd. We need passion pursuers. Passion is the intersection of your interests and skill sets. Passion is what inspires others around you. Passion pushes you to your limits and keeps you outside your comfort zone. Passion might interfere with the mundane lifestyles of those around you, BUT WHO CARES.

You know my passion, but let me ask you…what is yours and are you willing to throw impartiality by the wayside and find it no matter how long it takes or how much it costs? I can speak as a survivor of a near death experience, if you can find your passion YOU WILL HAVE FOUND YOUR PURPOSE! Isn’t it worth it?
