Perseverance in Play

Humor me please and play along….

I will give a quote and then match it to a picture. If it weren’t for the perseverance of the person who said it, the picture would not be in play (and the world would never know)

Ready or Not!!

1. If you can dream it, you can do it.

2. I’m convinced that about half of what separates the successful entrepreneurs from the non-successful is pure perseverance.

3. Failure is just another opportunity to start again, but more wisely.

I think that it’s safe to say that our world is a better place because of these 3 men. Now, can you guess who it was that spoke each of these quotes? If it’s not blatantly obvious by now, I am speaking of Walt Disney, Steve Jobs and Henry T. Ford all icons of the 20th century. These 3 men did more for our world than most will ever dream of. These 3 men faced tremendous challenges and setbacks along the way. These 3 men made decisions ahead of time (to which we see reflected in these now famous quotes) to persevere no matter how difficult the circumstances. The irony here is that these men were regular ordinary individuals from birth. There was nothing exceptional from the beginning about Walt or Steve or Henry. The thing that each of these men possessed and that which separated them from the rest, was their perseverance and dedication to a dream.

What is it that you have a burning desire to accomplish? What is it about you surroundings that is preventing you from getting there? What can you do about it, despite the pain of that will inevitable come when you decide to change. These are questions not for your comfort, BUT TO CHALLENGE YOUR CONVICTION…

You do not have the luxury of sitting on your “bright idea.” The longer you wait to persevere, the longer the world will miss out on what could be the next Disney World, or Apple or Model T Ford.
