Maniac Mondays

A few weeks ago, I wrote a post that received an overwhelmingly positive response. I wrote about a particularly intense workout and the feeling that it brought. That workout has remained in my mind since that writing and I wanted to offer it as a formality for the rest of the year.

Welcome to “Maniac Monday!” My interpretation of this day is to wear yourself out! Go after it, do not hold anything back and see how high you can take your heart rate and level of perceived exertion. Now is a time of year reserved for base building and if you are anything like me, you are starving for variety. Today be a maniac and save the remainder of the week for your traditional pre-season workouts. This will push you, I can guarantee that it won’t be fun.

My maniac Monday workout went like this:

Spin bike w/o seat = PAIN!

2 hours above lactate threshold...OUCH!
