Can I make a small confession? I had to check my dictionary before writing this post!

“Kinetic” is not a word I use very often, but it certainly does not diminish its meaning.

According to ole Mr. Webster, kinetic is defined as the work needed to accelerate a body of a given mass from rest to its stated velocity. Having gained this energy during its acceleration, the body maintains this kinetic energy unless its speed changes. The same amount of work is done by the body in decelerating from its current speed to a state of rest.

What I gain from this definition is that once a body is in motion it is much easier to keep in motion!

So, how do you apply the world to your physical training? Simple, GET MOVING and don’t stop. Your body will protect itself against you…TRUST ME so you might as well go as hard as you go!

When I think of the word kinetic, I think of the kangaroo. It just seems as if the more they jump, the higher they go (kinda like a pogo-stick!)
