Intentionality is Intense

The INTENT of my last several posts is to encourage intentionality in 2015. My primary INTENT is to give you the encouragement to live your life on purpose. By now, you know how I feel about perfection and if you are still striving for that…well, I’m not sure how much this will help?

You see, I spent the better half of 10 years chasing the illusion of perfection and it very nearly cost me my life. In hindsight my near death experience was the best thing that has ever happened to me. I found my purpose on the other side of death, but it took that catastrophe to open my eyes to reality. I am trying so desperately hard to serve you so that you don’t have to experience the brush with death that I encountered so long ago.

You do not have to be perfect, but you do have to be intentional. Why is that you do what you do every single day? What factors influence your decisions? Why do you behave in certain ways? Are there certain rituals that you subconsciously perform and are they good or bad? Who gets to decide for that matter?

Life happens and it happens quickly! You are either an doer or an observer. You are a planner or you fit into someone else’s plans. Rather than being surprised the actions and reactions of your day, can you decide ahead of time how you might react in certain situations? For example, let’s say that you are working on a particular fitness goal. You have probably experienced that your local gym is abnormally busy. The machines are taken and there might just be a wait. Can you decide ahead of time that you will wait it out in an intense effort to stay committed to your goal?
