Hustle

This post is rated Sprinters, Olympians and Ironman.

I was recently reminded of a word from my past. You may know my good friend Jon Acuff? Jon has accomplished more in the world of speaking, writing, social media, overall awesomeness in life than most. Jon developed an idea to share daily thoughts, motivations, challenges and inspirations in what he called “30 Days of Hustle.” I absolutely love the word and wanted to apply it to the theme of this blog.

Are you hustling at the moment? If yes, how? What would you tell if I asked what your hustle looked like? Better yet, what would I see by observing your actions throughout the day? Are you hustling toward a specific goal or is this just a particularly busy phase of life?

Are you hustling in your workouts? How great does that feel? What is about your hustle that adds an extra level of satisfaction to your workout plan? Can you name it?

If you are not hustling right now, WHY NOT?

You owe it to yourself and to those around you to HUSTLE!

Are you simply going through the motions in your daily workouts? Are you just doing your time waiting for the hour long pool session to end? Are you literally just spinning your wheels on the trainer or running a steady pace to get to the end of the workout?

  1. Hustle is a term that has gained a negative connotation. Personally, I love it. To me it means going after what you want, no matter what others may think.

i don’t hustle my works though. My workouts are planned, and I execute the plan. Too much enthusiasm with workouts for me leads to burnout, and injury.

    • I really appreciate your thoughts…hustle is a word that needs to make a comeback!
The more I think about it the more I agree with you that it doesn’t make much sense to hustle through workouts! Thanks for keeping me on my toes!
