Canada, here we come!

This post is rated Ironman.

It’s go time!

Today, I leave for Mt. Tremblant, Canada to compete in the 70.3 World Championships of triathlon. For me, this trip is extremely sentimental. Canada was the place that nearly claimed my life in 2006 and I have yet to return. It has been a fantastic triathlon season and I am super-excited to compete alongside the world’s best at the half ironman distance.

Training is a necessary evil, but racing is what I live for. It is weird to think that in just under 48 hours, I will be in the water beginning my race day. Triathlon has given me new meaning in life and has allowed me to reshape my physical form to what it is today. A championship event in any sport is exciting and for me this is just about as good as it gets.

I hope to have a great report to share early next week, but until then I thank you for your support of my passion and hope that it has rubbed off!

Talk next week!
